Frequently Asked Questions

Early answers for early curiosity.

About Wreflection

  1. What is Wreflection?

A new social network that rewards careful thinking, intellectual discourse, and thoughtful conversations.

  2. How is Wreflection different?

Unlike traditional social media, Wreflection rewards credibility, not popularity: you pass a reliability evaluation, earn a dynamic credibility score, and see posts by what careful readers find valuable, not by raw clicks or follower counts.

  3. Is this a place for everyone?

Probably not. It's built for people who change their minds when shown better evidence. It's meant for people who prefer refuting the central point rather than ad hominem attacks and name-calling.

Membership & Invitations

  1. How can I join Wreflection?

We are invite-only. There are two ways to request an invite: get on our free waitlist, or pay $10 to skip ahead in line. Everyone takes the same reliability evaluation, but skipping ahead fast-tracks review.

  2. What's in the evaluation?

You'll evaluate social media posts, short articles, claims, and data visualisations drawn from the real internet. It's a preview of how conversations work inside Wreflection.

  3. Is there a membership fee?

Wreflection is free to join. The optional $10 fee is just to move ahead in the invite waitlist. We may introduce premium features in the future.

  4. Why is Wreflection invitation-only?

To avoid the Eternal September phenomenon and to preserve the quality of discourse.

Content & Features

  1. What makes Wreflection's feed "smart"?

Posts rise when other credible readers find them thoughtful. Periodic challenges blend into feed to update credibility and reliability.

  2. Will my score be public?

You'll see a small badge, not a full scoreboard. Enough to signal credibility but not enough to trigger bean-counting.

  3. What content moderation practices do you employ?

We use strict content moderation; think of this as a professional or academic enviroment. Name calling, abusive threatening messages is a one-strike policy.

  4. Can I remain anonymous on Wreflection?

Pseudonymous participation is allowed, anonymity is not. All users are verified during registration. This balanced approach protects member privacy while maintaining accountability for contributions.

  5. Can I edit my previous posts on Wreflection?

Yes, for a short time after posting, you can edit or delete your posts. If you edit a post, the original version will still be visible. You can't repost something just like it right after deleting.

  6. Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your account. But the posts you made will stay, so that replies to them still make sense.

Looking Ahead

  1. When is Wreflection launching?

Private beta on iOS and Android this year. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when your slot opens.

  2. Is there a web version?

    Not right now.

  3. What's the long term goal?

To build the most rigorous public square online. One where merit, not noise, decides what gets heard.

  4. I still have questions. Who can I talk to?

Email us at [email protected] and we'll get back to you.
